Cortney Wolfe

Cortney Wolfe, Project Designer

With a background in public horticulture, Cortney is driven by a desire to bridge the gap between people and plants, recognizing their potential for mutual healing. She values design as a powerful tool of connection and healing for both human and non-human communities across space, time, and scale. Central to her ethos is the belief that thoughtful, well crafted design is rooted in a dedication to the intricate relationship between landscape design and labor, and she aims to illuminate landscape and material process, craftsmanship, and maintenance in her work. Prior to joining Wolf Josey, Cortney gained experience at the Tennessee RiverLine in Knoxville, TN and Surfacedesign in San Francisco, CA.

Cortney holds a Bachelor of Science in Plant Sciences with a concentration in Public Horticulture and a Master of Landscape Architecture, both from the University of Tennessee. Her graduate work integrates craft and story-telling to uncover site memories and reimagine ordinary places and objects to give way to alternative futures and possibilities.
