St. Johns river
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Status: In Process
Situated high above the St. Johns River in northeastern Florida, the landscape for this new modern house opens up to the river and provides multiple visual and physical opportunities to engage with the water. Several terraces, a pool and a sunken crushed stone courtyard overlook a lower lawn, dock, and the riverfront below. At the front of the house, a new entrance driveway winds through preserved stately live oaks and opens on to a courtyard of pervious pavers collecting stormwater. Wolf Josey worked closely with the architecture team to ensure the relationship between the interior and exterior space was coordinated and seamless.
